Aims of the course:

This intensive is a combination of both theory and practice of Yoga Nidra, allowing the participants to deepen their practice and personal experience. It will allow the participant to understand the history, science and benefits of the practice and to develop all of the skills needed deliver Yoga Nidra in a variety of settings. It is a non-dogmatic approach that allows teachers to explore different approaches to the practice and to develop their own voice as a yoga nidra teacher.

This is a further training course for yoga teachers who have completed their 200 hour teacher training

  • The Philosophy of Yoga Nidra
  • Understanding the benefits of Yoga Nidra


  • Exploration of and comparison of different approaches and lineages of the practice
  • Exploring the structure of a Yoga Nidra practice
  • Receiving personalised Yoga Nidra


  • How to develop your own Yoga Nidra scripts for your students
  • Use of voice and language in delivering Yoga Nidra
  • Safety considerations in delivering Yoga Nidra
  • Teaching practice in pairs and small groups
  • Teaching tools and techniques for Yoga Nidra
  • Teaching options – how to use the practice as a teacher in a variety of ways and settings
  • Understanding Postures and positions for Yoga Nidra


22 non-contact hours:

  • Reading of course book: 5 hours
  • Script writing: 2
  • Personal yoga nidra practice and journaling: 8 hours
  • Assignment 1: 2 hours
  • Assignment 2: 5 hours
