Thai Yoga Massage Practitioner Training: March 2024 – July 2024 (10 days)

10 days from March – June 2024: Fri 8th, Sat 9th, Sun 10th March, Fri 19th, Sat 20th, Sun 21st April,

Course Investment: £1000: payable via 4 monthly payments of £250 

This course is designed to give you all of the skills and information you need to start your journey as a professional Thai Yoga Massage Practitioner.

Who the course is for:

  • Beginners who wish to learn a new skill to either use with freinds or family, or in a professional capacity in a new career
  • Anyone who works in other complimentary health or wellness professions who wish to add a new discipline and skill to their current offerings.

The course is run over 10 training days spread over 4 months in person in Olney, Buckinghamshire

All days are 9.45am – 4.45pm (10.30am start on Fridays)

  • Fri 8th, Sat 9th, Sun 10th March 2024
  • Fri 19th, Sat 20th, Sun 21st April  2024
  • Sat 8th, Sun 9th June 2024
  • Sat 6th, Sun 7th July 2024

Maximum of 8 people on the training

Content covered:

  • History of Thai Massage
  • Energy theory of the Sen lines of Thai Massage
  • The art of touch
  • Therapeutic applications of Thai massage
  • Working with injuries and conditions in Thai massage
  • Practitioner self-care
  • Thai massage techniques: Thumbing, Double thumbing, Palming, hacking, pressure point, application with hands, forearms, elbows, knees and feet
  • Thai massage techniques to be able to use to deliver a varity of 90min to 2 hour treatments. This includes different body parts and base positions: Feet, single leg, double leg, stomach/chest/arms, face and neck, back of body, side lying and seated positions.
  • Professionalism and ethics

Each day contains some lecture/discussion, demonstration of techniques and practice of techniques in pairs or 3’s.  Students will be expected to practice the learning in between training weekends.

Supervision and feedback is given throughout  the training sessions.

**If you want to receive practitioner/professional certification the following applies:

Attend 80% of the live training hours in person

After the training days you need to complete and record  25 x 90 minute case study treatments with a minimum of 5 different clients (over a 6 – 7 month period)

There will be an assessment day around 6 -7 months after the final training day where you will be observed giving a 90 – 120min treatment. This will be on a Friday and the assessment is included in the course fee. If you wish to do your assessment at a different time there is a £75 fee for this.

You may need an additional Level 3 A&P course for insurance. We can recommend providers online for this. This is not included in the cost. Yoga Teachers, Massage Therapists, Pilates teachers etc will in most cases not require this.

The course will take place in The Little Therapy Space, Olney, Buckinghamshire

Cancellation/Refund policy:

Course deposit of £200 is not refundable or transferable.

  • Cancellation with 60 days or more before the start of the course all money paid less than the deposit will be refunded
  • Cancellation between 59 – 30 days before the start of the course any money paid (less than the deposit) will be refunded after a 20% administration fee is applied
  • Cancellation with less than 30 days until the start of the course no refunds or transfer is given

It is advised that you take out a event cancellation policy to cover yourself

In the event the course is cancelled by Dawn Wight/Krama Ltd all money paid will be fully refundable, but no liability accepted for further costs incurred in relation to the course.
